ILLEGAL WORKERS

1. The meaning of illegal workers

The illegal workers are people who work abroad without official permit from the government. They pay some money for the agent which departs them to Malaysia. Usually, they pay around Rp 300.000,00 until Rp 750.000,00 to go there. But really, if we go there, we must spend more money than them. So, the illegal workers choose to go to Malaysia via illegal agent because it is cheaper than legal workers.

2. Many workers come to Malaysia choose to be the illegal workers because

Ø Malaysia is the nearest state from our country

Ø The cost is cheaper to go there

Ø There is very difficult to get a job in Indonesia

Ø The salary in Indonesia is very cheaper

Ø Really, many illegal workers in Malaysia are success and rich when they come back in their homeland

Ø The way to go there is very easy

3. Some risk being the illegal workers

Ø They will be homeless in Malaysia

Ø They will feel uncomfortable because they are afraid if they will be raid in Malaysia

Ø They will be deport from Malaysia

Ø Their boss didn’t pay their salary in several month cause it is to change their cost to go to Malaysia

Ø They get the bad treatment from their boss

Ø If they are catch by Malaysia they will get any punishment such as : whip, gantung, jail, fine and stroke

Ø If they get bad treatment from their boss, they can request help to our government because they didn’t know where the KBRI in Malaysia place

4. Malaysia try to deport the illegal workers because

The illegal workers are too many so the Malaysia government must deport them to their homeland. The Malaysia government can’t give them legal security in there because they don’t have an official permit. Beside that, the illegal workers disturb many areas if they are homeless. The other factor is the number of illegal workers in Malaysia had increased by the large number.

5. The best solution to over come the illegal workers

The step to ward off the illegal workers:

ü First, our government can provide large area for people effort

For example: the government can build the traditional bazaars because almost people in Indonesia are consumptive so it can decrease the poverty and jobless

ü The government need to allocation part of the budged for illegal workers former in order to open the stand alone effort

ü Try to develop job vacancies in every district and offer the easy investment for the resident

ü The government must prepare the economy in our homeland so that it can press the jobless in our homeland and it can press the poverty in Indonesia.
